The Vivo V40 and V40 Pro are now officially launched, featuring a Zeiss camera, a large battery, and a sleek, thin design. The Pro model boasts an upgraded processor. Both phones come with a new camera module and a refreshed design. Let’s explore the details of these new smartphones.

The Vivo V40 and V40 Pro share a similar design, featuring a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. Both models have the same dimensions, measuring 164.2 x 74.9 x 7.58 mm. They also come with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2,800 x 1,260 pixels. Additionally, both phones offer a peak brightness of 4,500 nits.

The Vivo V40 Pro receives a significant upgrade with the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset, compared to the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 found in the previous Vivo V30 Pro. Meanwhile, the Vivo V40 retains the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset as its predecessor, the Vivo V30.

The Vivo V40 Pro features a triple camera setup, including a 50 MP main camera with a Sony IMX921 sensor, a 50 MP telephoto portrait camera with a Sony IMX816 sensor, and a 50 MP ultra-wide camera. The Vivo V40 has a dual camera setup with a 50 MP main camera and a 50 MP ultra-wide camera. Both phones come with a 50 MP selfie camera. The main cameras on both models include OIS and AI Aura light with LED flash.

Both the Vivo V40 and V40 Pro are equipped with a 5,500 mAh battery and support 80W fast charging. They also feature an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Out of the box, these phones run on Funtouch OS 14, which is based on Android 14.

The Vivo V40 Pro is available in Titanium Gray and Ganges Blue. It comes in two variants: the 8GB/256GB model priced at INR 49,999 and the 12GB/512GB variant priced at INR 55,999. The open sale for the Vivo V40 Pro starts on August 13.
