Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 Launched

What’s in the Galaxy Z Fold6

The Fold6 now features Armor Aluminium 2 and Corning Gorilla Victus 2 protection on the cover display and the back of the phone when folded. This model is 14 grams lighter than its predecessor, weighing 239 grams compared to the Z Fold5’s 253 grams, making it only 7 grams heavier than the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The Fold6 is 12.1 mm thick, down from 13.4 mm on the Z Fold5, and 5.6 mm thin when unfolded, compared to 6.1 mm on the previous model.

The cover display is slightly larger at 6.3 inches, up from 6.2 inches on the Z Fold5. The aspect ratio has also improved to 22.1:9 from the previous model’s 23.1:9. There are also improvements in the hinge, making the phone sturdier. The Galaxy Z Fold6 has an IP48 rating, an upgrade from the IPX8 of the older model, providing protection against solid particles over 1mm in size, although it is still not dust-resistant. Additionally, the Galaxy Z Fold6 features a 1.6x larger vapor chamber for better heat management.

The Galaxy Z Fold6 now includes Galaxy AI features, offering tools like Note Assist, translation, summary, Circle to Search, and auto format. A notable new AI feature is “Sketch to Image,” which generates images from sketches either from the gallery or ones you draw on photos.
