Xiaomi introduced HyperOS last year, replacing MIUI with a fresh look and several upgraded features. HyperOS was first launched in India in March this year. Now, nearly a year later, Xiaomi has unveiled HyperOS 2.0, bringing even more enhancements and updates.
The Xiaomi 15 is the first smartphone to launch with HyperOS 2.0 in China. However, India will follow a different timeline. The Xiaomi 15 is set for release in India in March next year, but the Poco X7 Pro could arrive sooner. According to Smartprix, the Poco X7 Pro may be the first smartphone in India to debut with HyperOS 2.0.
Last year, the Poco X6 Pro was also the first smartphone to launch with HyperOS. While specifications for the Poco X7 Pro are not yet confirmed, rumors suggest it could be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 14 Pro+, which is already available in China.
HyperOS 2.0 introduces three new core technologies: HyperCore, HyperConnect, and HyperAI. These are designed to boost system performance, stability, and more. The update includes advanced AI features, such as an AI-powered lock screen for personalized wallpapers, AI magic painting, and AI voice recognition. Users will also notice a redesigned desktop layout with visual upgrades and customizable content. Additionally, HyperOS 2.0 features a refreshed 3D weather app for an enhanced user experience.
The Poco X7 Pro is expected to launch either later this year in December or early next year in January. Stay tuned for more updates!
