OnePlus Nord 4 Launched with Full Metal Body, Extended Software Updates, and AI Features

The phone boasts a full metal body with a distinctive design, breaking away from the usual trends and possibly starting a new one. The Nord 4 features a 6.74-inch 1.5K Super Fluid AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2150 nits. It has a resolution of 1240×2772 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 90% screen-to-body ratio. The ProXDR technology adjusts brightness and clarity for optimal image and video quality. Additionally, AquaTouch technology detects water droplets and adjusts touch sensitivity, ensuring a responsive screen even when wet.

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset, the Nord 4 offers 8GB and 12GB RAM options. For storage, it comes in 128GB and 256GB variants. The phone is equipped with a 5,500 mAh battery and supports 100W wired charging, allowing it to fully charge in less than 30 minutes.

In the camera department, the OnePlus Nord 4 features a 50MP main camera with a Sony LYT-600 sensor and OIS, capable of recording videos in up to 4K resolution. It also includes an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 16MP selfie camera.

The OnePlus Nord 4 includes several useful AI features such as AI Audio Summary, AI Note Summary, and AI Text Translate. It also has AI Linkboost, which reconnects to mobile networks faster. For photography, the AI Best Face feature corrects blinked eyes, and AI Clear Face fixes blurred faces in group photos.

Running on Oxygen OS 14.1, based on Android 14, the OnePlus Nord 4 promises four years of Android OS updates and six years of security updates, ensuring support until 2030. This is the longest update period for any OnePlus phone.

The OnePlus Nord 4 price in India starts at INR 29,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The other two variants, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB, are priced at INR 32,999 and INR 35,999, respectively. The phone is available in three colors: Obsidian Midnight, Mercurial Silver, and Oasis Green. Pre-orders begin on July 20 during the Prime Day sale on Amazon, with the open sale starting on August 2.
