The Nothing Phone (2a) launched just four months ago in May, and now we have exciting news about the new Plus version. Nothing has officially announced that the Phone (2a) Plus will be released on July 31st. This announcement was made on the social media platform X.

Nothing India’s X account has shared a post saying, “Plus. More. Extra. An extraordinary new smartphone is coming. Get ready for Phone (2a) Plus.” The company also posted the same message on their website with a teaser image. The image shows a circular coil similar to the one on the back of the Phone (2a).

Nothing Phone (2a) Plus Coming Soon

There were hints earlier suggesting the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus was coming soon. It was spotted on UAE’s TDRA certification site with the model number A142P. The same has also seen on India’s BIS certification site, indicating an imminent launch. Additionally, Jio’s 5G compatibility list included the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, further hinting at its arrival.

The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus will be positioned between the Phone (2a) and Phone (2) in terms of specs and pricing. It might feature a better processor than the Dimensity 7200 Pro, possibly a Snapdragon 7 Series chipset. The Glyph lights could be the same as the Phone (2a) but fewer than those on the Phone (2). It is likely to have a 6.7-inch 120 Hz AMOLED display. The camera may see some upgrades, while the battery specifications are expected to remain the same. It will run on Android 14 with Nothing OS 2.6.

We can expect the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus to launch in India with a base model priced below INR 30,000. This will position it to compete with other popular models like the OnePlus Nord 4, Poco F6, and Realme GT 6T.
