According to the latest report from Counterpoint Research, the iPhone 15 led global smartphone sales in Q3 2024, with the iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro following closely. The top 10 list highlights Apple and Samsung as dominant players.
Half of the top 10 best-selling smartphones were Samsung models, led by the popular Galaxy A series. These budget and mid-range models — including the Galaxy A15 4G, Galaxy A15 5G, Galaxy A35 5G, and Galaxy A05 — were favorites among buyers. For the first time, a Galaxy S series model, the Galaxy S24, also entered the top 10.
The iPhone 14 from 2022 took the 8th spot, followed by the budget-friendly Redmi 13C 4G, a successor to last year’s popular Redmi 12C.
The report suggests consumers are showing increased interest in flagship smartphones, as indicated by the narrowing market share gap between the iPhone’s standard and Pro models. This trend is largely due to accessible financing options and trade-in offers, which make flagship models more affordable for a broader audience.
